Bike Bedford County showcases and celebrates Bedford County's beautiful outdoors with recreational bike rides for all levels of ability.
This is an un-timed event: challenge yourself while enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Bedford County, PA. Start/Finish for all rides is Shawnee State Park; cycling rourtes explore the surrounding area, including challenging climbs or rolling hills through many of the area's historic covered bridges.
Ride options include:
Allegheny Ascent - 62 mile (100 meter) ride climbing through beautiful local mountains - 6,000 ft of climbing, including spectacular vistas of Blue Knob, Sproul and Brumbaugh Mountains.
Covered Bridge Cycling Tour: 32 or 36 mile intermediate ride with rolling hills featuring some of the county's historic covered bridges.
Hybrid Ride: Metric Century (62 miles) intermediate ride with rolling hills; includes the Covered Bridge ride and portions of the Allegheny Ascent (minus the toughest climbs)

Check-in Opens for Allegheny Ascent (62 mi with 5000 ft of climbing) and Hybrid Ride (62 mi) at 7:00 am. Must take off by 8:00am. (For those wishing to ride 100 miles, please consider combining the Allegheny Ascent and Covered Bridge rides.
Check-in for Covered Bridge Cycling Tour,& Covered Bridge Mini Tour opens at 7:30 am with mandatory pre-ride meeting at 8:00 am followed by departure.
