BASICS: Steps to Success

Steps to Success is a day of connecting local businesses with high school students preparing for their first employment opportunities.  Business leaders share their "steps to success" for finding and keeping a job and excelling in the workplace,  including interview skills, expectations, proper attire, employment law, and more. A career fair is also included, giving students the chance to meet local employers, representatives from area colleges, the military, etc.  Some students have obtained summer or part time jobs as a result of this event.  

Bedford County students in grades 10-12 should register for this event with their guidance counselor.  Businesses wishing to participate should contact Gwen at the Chamber office by calling 814-623-2233.
